Fully Fortified to Meet Daily Requirements

Our formula includes our targeted vitamin and mineral mix, as well as added amino acids and Acid Buf for digestive support. It is formulated to meet the daily requirements of horses according to the NRC guidelines, when fed at the recommended rate. 

Some key vitamins and minerals include:

  • Vitamins A, D and E to support antioxidant function, muscle and bone health
  • Added biotin, calcium, phosphorus and methionine to support hoof and bone integrity.

Acid Buf

Acid Buf is made from the sustainably harvested calcified skeleton of red seaweed (Lithothamnion calcareum) and provides a unique source of highly bioavailable calcium and magnesium with superior buffering capacity.
This helps with stabilising the hindgut pH and maintaining this over a prolonged period of time, reducing the risk of acidosis and digestive upset, while also supporting optimal fibre fermentation and nutrient absorption.
The result? Improved digestive comfort, better feed efficiency, and more consistent performance.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is fat-soluble vitamin and an antioxidant, and high levels are needed for horses with poor quality hay or pasture or horses that have undergone stress & training. Vitamin E is needed to support the horse’s immune system and protect cells, reducing tissue inflammation and protecting from free radicals.

 

NOTE: If customers are not feeding Racehorse Cubes to the full recommended rate, they will need to include an additional concentrate or supplement to meet requirements. Lupin Fibre Boost is our complete fibre mash suitable for feeding with concentrates to top up and balance nutrient intake, as well as providing healthy fibre for gut function.
