Calm Care Plus is an ultra-low starch and sugar complete, concentrated and grain-free feed that is suitable for horses and ponies across a range of workloads.
Made with quality proteins and high in digestible fibre, Calm Care Plus is ideal for horses, ponies and broodmares that are prone to laminitis, ulcers, EMS, PPID, metabolic conditions, tying-up, grain sensitivity, weight gain or would benefit from a low GI diet.

What's in the bag:
Lysine is an essential amino acid, which means horses can only get lysine through their diet. Lysine is needed for protein synthesis, and if not getting enough lysine, it can restrict protein availability. So, if a horse is getting protein, but deficient in lysine, they can still be protein deficient.
Threonine is an essential amino acid, which plays an important role in healthy immune function and gut health, helping to build a healthy gut lining.
Magnesium is a macro mineral that plays a vital role in nerve and muscle function. Horses that are deficient in magnesium can show signs of nervousness, tension, excitability, stress and muscle tremors.
Magnesium is also believed to help in reducing equine obesity and can reduce the risk of laminitis.
Vitamin E is fat-soluble vitamin and an antioxidant, and high levels are needed for horses with poor quality hay or pasture or horses that have undergone stress & training. Vitamin E is needed to support the horse’s immune system and protect cells, reducing tissue inflammation and protecting from free radicals.
Prebiotics are ‘fuels’ that aren’t digestible by the horse but instead feed and nourish the good microbes in their gut.
Probiotics are ‘life microbes’ and feeding them adds good living microbes to the gut, stabilising and promoting a healthy microbial population.
Without a good microbial population in the hindgut, a horse is not able to effectively digest plant fibre material.
Feeding Rates: Kilograms per day
- Kilograms per day for horses. Rates are a GUIDE ONLY.
- Adjust according to horse’s size, condition, workload, quality of available hay/pasture. Feed in conjunction with high quality roughage/other feedstuffs.
- Ensure clean, fresh water is available at all times.
- Always introduce a new feed to your horse’s diet slowly over a period of 14-21 days to avoid digestive upsets.

Calm Care Plus has been so amazing for my horses, I have a nervous off the track and it has just chilled him out and gave him lots of energy without heating him up, I also started giving it to my retired girl with cushings and has been a lifesaver for her too.
In all honesty I thought your new calm horse pellets where another pellet in a fancier bag and a marketing grab. My big fella has struggled with food sensitivity and ulcers from birth - this is the happiest and best I’ve ever seen him - he gallops up to me every morning and his coat shimmers at night! That photo was full moon no lights or flash!
