What's in the bag:

Claytons Pellets Thompson and Redwood
Mill Mix is created during wheat milling, and is a high fibre, high protein but controlled starch ingredient, with a much lower starch content than bran.

During milling, the as much starch and gluten as possible (contained in the endosperm of the wheat grain) is separated from the castings and germ. The wheat germ and seed castings are then mixed with pollard to create a nutritious feed source for animals.

Did you know: The germ component of mill mix is a valuable source of minerals and fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E & K

Claytons Pellets are made with high levels of oil to provide cool, slow-release energy. Oil is energy dense and high in calories, to help with conditioning as well as the added benefits of coat health and shine.

Claytons Pellets are high in easily digestible fibre sources, which provide cool, slow-release energy. Fibre is an essential component of any horse’s diet, and these high levels of fibre help to boost digestive health.

Probiotics are ‘life microbes’ and feeding them adds good living microbes to the gut, stabilising and promoting a healthy microbial population.

Without a good microbial population in the hindgut, a horse is not able to effectively digest plant fibre material.

Vitamin E is fat-soluble vitamin and an antioxidant, and high levels are needed for horses with poor quality hay or pasture or horses that have undergone stress & training. Vitamin E is needed to support the horse’s immune system and protect cells, reducing tissue inflammation and protecting from free radicals.
