She has had many successes at the highest level in eventing and has been in the top ten placings at all of Australia’s major competitions.
Sophie represented Australia as a young rider, was Western Australian young rider of the year and her horse, Let’s Impress, was Western Australian horse of the year. She has also ridden at FEI level in dressage and two of her rides have won Western Australian dressage horse of the year. Sophie has ridden professionally and trained in Europe.
On top of this, Sophie is a recent co-founder of a venture called ‘Sustainable Equitation’, a collaboration between herself and Dr Portland Jones that strives for small footprint horse training. It involves implementing evidence-based training methods in order to improve the welfare of horses and the safety of riders.
“My feed of choice for all my eventers is T&R’s Claytons pellets. Horses need a lot less protein, carbs, sugar and ‘fancy foods’ than you would expect, and the Claytons pellets are a great choice when looking for a feed that is low starch, high fibre, and non-grain based. Not only is it great for their digestive system, but it keeps them looking and feeling well, too! Plus, they’re locally produced by ingredients that are locally sourced, and I think spreading the love locally is really important.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”2848″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_outline”][vc_single_image image=”2440″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_outline”][vc_single_image image=”1424″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_outline”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”1423″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_outline”][vc_single_image image=”3047″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_outline”][vc_single_image image=”2439″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_outline”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_class=”sponsored_riders_main”][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_custom_heading text=”Leeara Park” google_fonts=”font_family:Montserrat%3Aregular%2C700|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][vc_column_text]Caris and Brit Reside are successful show horse riders and members of the ‘Leeara Park Riding Ponies’ team.
This team of sisters have competed successfully all across Western Australia as well as at a National level, breeding, training and competing a team of horses and ponies. Not only have they won or placed in almost every show horse competition throughout the country (including Champion National Large Hack of the Year at the National Championships), but they are dedicated to their horses’ health and happiness.
“Here at Leeara Park, our horses have always come first – their health, their diet and their care has and always will be second to none. We have a firm belief that our horse’s health and care is more important than any ribbon or garland.
We ensure that any horse in our care is fed the very best products; that being T&R! We have some amazing examples of “before” and “after” shots of horses showing the substantial positive change in condition when being fed T&R products.
We would like to thank T&R for your continued generous sponsorship of our Team. We hope 2017 to be full of luck and more success, but most importantly healthy, safe horses. T&R keep our horses and ponies looking at their very best and they simply love the new muesli (Might & Power Oat-Free Muesli).[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”1427″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_outline”][vc_single_image image=”1426″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_outline”][vc_single_image image=”3048″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_outline”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”3050″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_outline”][vc_single_image image=”3051″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_outline”][vc_single_image image=”3049″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_outline”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_class=”sponsored_riders_main”][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_custom_heading text=”Kentaur Australia Performance Horses” google_fonts=”font_family:Montserrat%3Aregular%2C700|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][vc_column_text]Kentaur Australia Performance Horses is a performance horse stud that is part of the overall Kentaur Australia business. Kentaur Australia is a well-established equestrian business that sells premium gear from Europe from some of the world’s best brands. The performance horse stud aims to breed, produce and sell horses for national and international markets, with a primary focus in show jumping. In 2015, Kentaur Australia horses were the winner of the overall Young Event, Showjumping and Dressage horses in Western Australia.
Owner and Director of Kentaur Australia, Lucy Galovicova, is a believer in using local products that work. “Our horses have been fed Thompson and Redwood feed for the past 6 years. As a boutique performance warmblood stud, I have sold over 20 horses in the past 4 years. Most of these have been vetted and x-rayed at purchase. Warmbloods are susceptible to various diseases that can be contributed to by incorrect feeding, and I am proud to say that, to this date, none of the horses I have sold have had issues. They all went on to become performance horses that are fit for purpose, and all were fueled by T&R.
In particular, we feed the Claytons Pellets, Grower Weaner Pellets (for the young horses and mares) and the Horse Muesli for our show jumping horses. We are excited to represent Thompson and Redwood for the 2017 season!”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”3054″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_outline”][vc_single_image image=”3055″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_outline”][vc_single_image image=”3056″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_outline”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”3057″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_outline”][vc_single_image image=”3058″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_outline”][vc_single_image image=”3141″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_outline”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_class=”sponsored_riders_main”][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_custom_heading text=”Liz Tollarzo” google_fonts=”font_family:Montserrat%3Aregular%2C700|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][vc_column_text]Liz Tollarzo is a full-time dressage coach living in Wandi, Western Australia. “I love my horses to look and feel their best. My two-star horse, Barrabadeen Woodstock, enjoys the T&R Hi Performance Muesli and Horse Cubes – as a warmblood he is quite cool anyway, and these give him both the condition and energy needed to compete at a high level of eventing. My OTT thoroughbred is fed T&R Claytons pellets to keep her cool as well as maintain her condition. “My horses absolutely love their T&R! They are fed Claytons pellets because of its low starch, high fibre properties. My main show jumper, ESB Irish Leprechaun, particularly likes them; I have long been on the lookout for a feed that will help maintain his condition and provide him with the energy to fuel his show jumping. He can also be a fussy eater, so it’s great to have found a product that he genuinely loves the taste of! He is also fed the Hi-Performance Muesli for a bit of extra energy.
My other ride, Kentaur Valencia, is also on the Claytons Pellets – as is my 4yo Kentaur Pyro. My 2yo warmblood gelding is fed the T&R Grower Weaner Pellets. Together they have gone up the grades and are now one of the most formidable partnerships on the WA circuit! In 2016 alone, they have already won multiple events at 1-star level, and have plans to compete in Adelaide 2 star at the end of this year.
“I ensure Alvin has the correct balanced diet with the appropriate supplements to maintain his well-being. He is fed T&R Hi Performance muesli to give him the energy and nutrition to compete at a high level in eventing. He loves the taste and I love the fact that it is a highly digestible energy and protein source that has all the added vitamins and minerals he needs!”
