Thompson & Redwood partners with ProAgni® to manufacture antibiotic free ruminant supplement in Western Australia
Thompson & Redwood would like to announce a new manufacturing partnership with ProAgni®, an agriculture biotech company, to produce their antibiotic-free ProTect products for sheep and cattle.
ProAgni® has done a significant amount of research and development to create antibiotic and ionophore-free ruminant supplements that deliver improved feed efficiency. Developed by producers for producers, ProAgni® are committed to sustainable animal production, and the reduction of antibiotics in livestock diets.
Thompson & Redwood will be manufacturing ProTect S and ProTect C which are pellet-style feed supplements for use with grain rations to reduce lactic acidosis. Containing Acid Buf technology, the Protect products also include vitamins, trace elements, sulphur containing amino acids, probiotic extracts and plant-based bio actives.
ProTect C is designed to provide buffering from lactic acidosis in cattle while improving their feed intake efficiency and reduce the time taken to reach market specifications. It is ideal for use in feedlots and drought lots, supplementary feeding or weaning.
Protect S is designed to provide buffering from lactic acidosis in sheep while improving their feed intake efficiency and reduce the time taken to reach market specifications. It is ideal for use in feedlots and drought lots, supplementary feeding or weaning.
ProAgni® have carried out significant trials and research with these products which have been proven to improve animal performance through feed conversion by 20%. Their products have also been shown to reduce methane emissions, which is part of their commitment to ethical and sustainable production.
