Equine Updates

Equine Updates

What's changed? And more importantly, what hasn't...

We know there have been a number of updates to our equine bags and product names recently, so we wanted to do a deep dive into the updates and share what’s changed, and most importantly, what hasn’t.

The updates to our horse feeds reflect our commitment to clearer, more transparent branding, making it easier for you to confidently choose the right feed for your horses and ponies.

Our branding has evolved, but our ingredients and recipes remain consistent.

Even though the names and bags for some of our feeds have evolved, their ingredients and recipes remain consistent.

In some of our feeds we’ve made adjustments or additions that have been carefully researched and purposeful. These include targeted increases to key vitamins and minerals, or the inclusion of functional ingredients like probiotics or Acid Buf. It’s about delivering more benefit to your horses and better value to you.

We share product updates with our community through our stockists, newsletters and online platforms to keep customers informed and supported.

If you’re ever not sure, don’t hesitate to ask us!

Our feeds are set recipe, not least cost.

This ensures consistency from batch to batch, with the same high-quality ingredients in every bag.  We source from trusted suppliers, conduct regular testing and maintain full traceability across our supply chain.

Quality is not something we compromise on.

We’re committed to traceability and transparency.

Our updated packaging aims to provide clearer on-bag guidance.

We have condensed the nutritional analysis, and some ingredients may be listed grouped (like legumes or cereal by-products). We have included QR codes on the bags now to link to our even more in-depth nutritional analyses and full ingredient breakdowns here on our website.

Breaking down ingredient groups – what do we mean?

On some of our products, you may see ingredients shown as a category. Here are the breakdowns of the ingredients that we use under these categories:

Cereal Grain By-Products = Mill Mix. Mill Mix is a by-product of the flour milling process and is derived from wheat. It is high in fibre, lower in starch than bran and a good source of proteins and vitamins A, D, E and K.

Legumes = lupins and faba beans. Legumes are high in quality proteins and amino acids. Check the individual product pages on our website where we list these products in full.

Vegetable protein meal = canola meal. Canola meal is high in protein with good levels of lysine. It is a low-NSC ingredient.

We list the ingredients in full on each of our product pages.
